ATTENTION NEWCOMERS There are approximately 140,000 people living in Rosarito Beach, a sparkling jewel-by-the-sea of which about 14,000 are foreign residents, most of whom have concerns and questions about such issues as property, rentals, medical, dental, visas, pets and vets to name a few. There is a municipal organization here called the Foreign Residents Attention Office (FRAO), the only one of its kind in all of Mexico. That is where foreigners can get the information they need. FRAO was created to assist foreigners integrate comfortably into this rapidly growing community. Just let FRAO know what your concerns are – what information you need - and they will do their best to get answers or they will put you in touch with reliable expertise. You can e-mail your questions to FRAO at frao_rosarito@yahoo.com.

FRAO also offers foreigners the opportunity to take an active part in this community. Through interactions with the local society and charitable organizations, FRAO offers an outreach to various projects, several of which are staffed by volunteers. If you were involved in your community in your home country you might want to become similarly involved here and volunteer some of your time.

Whether a foreigner chooses to stay for just a few days, a few weeks, or a long term residency, the first thing they should do is visit Ms. Marisa Molina Villalba, Director of the FRAO. She will be delighted to meet you. Her office hours are from 8:30 am ‘til 5:00 pm Mondays through Fridays. She is located on the second floor of City Hall. Driving east over the bridge from McDonalds, take the first right at the traffic signal. Continue, and you will see City Hall on your left. You can reach Marisa direct by telephone at 661-614-9697. Or you may call City Hall at 661-614-9600 ext. 2830. For more information about FRAO visit www.rosarito.gob.mx
