| Wings of Paradise is a true story of Hawaii’s airlines, skillfully presented with both humor and insight. Not all smooth flying! Hawaiian Airlines (originally Inter-Island Airways) was started by a visionary young Scotsman when Hawaii was still a Territory of the USA. He ruled the skies from 1929 until a bold Chinese challenger came along in 1946 with Aloha Airlines (originally Trans-Pacific Airlines). After that all manner of airlines tried for a share in the market as passenger demand increased. |
